Reliable Quality Made by Genuine Craftsmen with Heart
Since 2009, IORI has pursued creating high-quality towels and lifestyle goods that lead to a richer life. This Limited Edition Pottery Brooch is made to do just that!
This Flower Tobeyaki Pottery Brooch is a limited collaboration between IORI and Mustakivi.
Authentic Traditional Crafts, Made in Ehime, Japan
Imabari city in Ehime prefecture has been Japan’s leader in towel production for over 120 years.
Lesser known in Ehime is a town called Tobe, famous for it’s pottery. It was classified by the Japanese traditional craft in 1976.
This is an IORI limited edition color of the lovely flower-shaped Tobe brooch, based on the motif of Fujio Ishimoto’s work.
Experience Superior Quality
Craftsmen drop the clay into the mold by hand, giving it a round and gentle finish.
The craft is finished in a calm atmosphere so that it can be color-coordinated to match your clothes or scene, and makes you feel lighthearted when you wear it.
Because most of the manufacturing process of Tobeyaki is done by hand, each product has a unique look.
The four-petaled flower, which is often used as an expression of flowers since Fujio Ishimoto’s days at Marimekko, is one of his representative ceramic artworks.
